There are more Pride flags than ever, and each one tells a story in colour. Whether you're new to the community, supporting someone you love, or just want to know what that gorgeous striped flag actually means, this is your plain-English guide to the most recognised Pride flags in 2026 - and what every colour stands for.
Every flag below is also part of our KWEEN Colours sticker range: kiss-cut, glossy vinyl, designed and shipped in the UK.
The Rainbow Pride Flag
The original and most recognised symbol of LGBTQ+ Pride. First flown in 1978, the six-stripe rainbow stands for life (red), healing (orange), sunlight (yellow), nature (green), harmony/serenity (blue) and spirit (purple). It represents the whole community coming together.

The Progress Pride Flag
An evolution of the rainbow flag that adds a chevron of black and brown stripes (for LGBTQ+ people of colour and those lost to HIV/AIDS) alongside the pink, light blue and white of the transgender flag. It's a reminder that Pride still moves forward.
The Bisexual Pride Flag
Three stripes: pink for attraction to the same gender, blue for attraction to a different gender, and a purple stripe in the middle where they overlap - bisexuality itself. A neat bit of design that says it all.

The Pansexual Pride Flag
Three bold bands - pink, yellow and blue - representing attraction to people of all genders. The yellow centre stripe specifically nods to non-binary and gender-nonconforming people.

The Lesbian Pride Flag
The modern five- or seven-stripe lesbian flag uses shades of orange, white and pink. The oranges represent community and independence, white the unique relationship to womanhood, and the pinks love, sex and femininity.

The Transgender Pride Flag
Light blue and pink (the traditional colours for boys and girls) frame a white stripe for those who are transitioning, intersex, or who feel their gender is neutral or undefined. Designed so it's always 'correct' no matter which way you fly it.

The Non-binary Pride Flag
Four stripes: yellow for genders outside the binary, white for many or all genders, purple for a blend of genders, and black for those who are agender or feel they have no gender.

The Asexual Pride Flag
Black, grey, white and purple. Black represents asexuality, grey the grey-area between sexual and asexual (grey-ace and demisexual), white allies and partners, and purple the wider community.

The Genderfluid Pride Flag
Five stripes for a gender that moves and changes: pink for femininity, white for all genders, purple for both masculinity and femininity, black for a lack of gender, and blue for masculinity.

The Aromantic Pride Flag
Green is the signature colour of the aromantic community. The dark and light greens represent the aromantic spectrum, while the white, grey and black stripes cover the full range of romantic orientations and identities.

The Genderqueer Pride Flag
Lavender (a mix of blue and pink) for androgyny, white for agender identities, and green - the inverse of lavender - for those whose identities sit outside the binary entirely.

The Intersex Pride Flag
Deliberately simple: a yellow background with a purple circle. Yellow and purple were chosen as colours seen as neither stereotypically male nor female, and the unbroken circle represents wholeness and the right to be who you are.
